Description:
Body 93 mm long; tentacle 8 mm, bearing 2 rows of pinnules. Head lobe bounded by a pretentacular groove running right round the protosoma; halves of the bridle meet 'dorsally' and fuse 'ventrally'; without glandular areas near the bridle.
Tube 213 mm or longer, 0.12-0.16 mm broad (s_ekmani-tube.jpg).
Habitat:
Mostly in deep water.
Distribution:
Skagerrak 200-270 m, below 1000 m on the Biscay slope and south-west off Britain and at 120 m depth in the Raunefjorden (near Bergen, Norway).
